Biography:
Geneviève H. Torres began as a family attorney in St Petersburg Florida for The Law Firm for Family Law in April of 2008.  Born in Montreal, Quebec, Ms. Torres speaks fluent French.  She immersed herself in the legal profession and worked as a paralegal throughout law school.  This exposed her to a wide variety of practice areas and she gained experience in many aspects of law.

Ms. Torres chose Family Law due to the natural fit for her personality.  She takes great pride in her work and is sensitive to clients’ needs.  “Family Law is a dynamic and challenging legal environment,” she says.  “I get satisfaction knowing that I’m able to make a difference in a client’s life.”

Education and Memberships:
Ms. Torres received her Law Degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida where she was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honors society and consistently made the Honor Roll.  Due to her outstanding contributions and studies in Elder Law, Ms. Torres received the Matthew Bender Elder Law Book Award.

An avid tennis player, Ms. Torres played for the University of South Florida in Tampa where she earned her B.A. in Political Science and graduated cum laude.  Her competitive nature led her to the legal discipline and resulting success as a Pinellas County divorce lawyer.
